Volunteer Opportunities
Help In the Warehouse
- Sort incoming donations
- Assemble toiletry and activity kits
- Fill custom bag orders
- Assist with donation pick ups around town
Sewing & Quilting
In warehouse or at home
- Sort, organize, and cut fabric for various projects
- Prepare Quilt and Bag Kits for at-home sewists
- Pin, back, and cut batting for quilts
- Sew-at-Home Items: Quilts, bags, burp cloths, and bibs (materials available to check out from our warehouse)

Sewing & Quilting Projects
Quilts & Blankets
Quilted, crocheted, or knitted blankets and quilts are staples in each Bag of Love.
Find sizes and instructions for each age group below.
Bags of Love & Accessory Bags
Children ages 0 to 10 receive a handmade bag sewn according to these patterns. Bags are quick, easy sewing projects perfect for beginners – just follow this step-by-step guide.
We also make accessory bags for children’s toys, toiletries, and activity kits.
Volunteering Requirements
- Must be at least 15 years old
- Able to stand for 2 hours at a time
- Able to commit to an ongoing shift at least 1 day a week, for 2 hours
- Able to volunteer during our open hours: Monday-Thursday 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
