In 2020, more than 3,000 local children received a Bag of Love.

A Bag of Love is a care package for a child in need – a child in poverty, moving into foster care, or one without a home at all.

It provides a sense of security and comfort, a “security blanket” to hold onto at what may be the worst point in his or her young life.

It is a ray of hope in a time of crisis.

“Thank you for the bags you sent to my family. It’s the nicest thing that has happened to me, and for that I will be forever grateful. I will pass it on and help when I see families in need.”

The Bags of Love Story

For 13 years, Bags of Love has supported children of Lane County suffering from abuse, neglect, poverty, or homelessness.

In our founding year, we distributed 25 Bags of Love to children in need. By the end of 2020, that number had increased to more than 3,000.
