Types of Volunteering
Help In the Warehouse
- Sort incoming donations
- Assemble essential toiletry and school supply kits
- Build bags to fulfill agency orders
- Provide general warehouse support
- Assist with reception and office support
Sewing & Quilting
In warehouse or at home
- Sort, Coordinate, and Cut Fabric: Help organize and prepare fabric for various projects
- Prepare Quilt and Bag Kits: Assemble kits for at-home sewists
- Pin, Back, and Cut Batting for Quilts: Pin and layer quilt batting and backing
- Sew At Home Items: Create quilts, bags, burp cloths, and bibs

Quilted, crocheted, or knitted blankets and quilts are staples in each Bag of Love.

Bags of Love & Accessory Bags
Children ages 0 to 10 receive a handmade bag sewn according to these patterns. Bags are quick, easy sewing projects perfect for beginners – just follow this step-by-step guide.
We also make accessory bags for children’s toys, toiletries, and activity kits.
Volunteering Requirements
- Must be at least 15 years old
- Able to stand for 2 hours at a time
- Able to commit to 1 day a week, for at least 2 hours
- Able to volunteer during our open hours: Monday-Thursday 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
